Vintage Madness!

It’s December first, the day that I truly welcome the Christmas season. This year, it’s also the day for Midnight Madness in historic Ellicott City. The shops will stay open for your shopping pleasure until midnight and you can enjoy special sales, refreshments and listen to the groups of carolers along the way. It’s a beautiful time and we go every year. Our booths are ready for the occasion too. Have a look:

A look before Halloween

I love Autumn and I love Halloween. I don’t have a costume picked out yet, but I need to work on that! For now, I’m offering a current look at my booths. We’ve been attending auctions and stocking up for our Christmas shoppers. After Halloween, the holidays come very fast.

We’ve been loving all the unusual, cool stuff we’ve been finding and we’ll continue hunting for more. Here’s a look:

Welcome Autumn

Summer is a memory and we welcome Autumn today. Hope your summer was both fun and productive, like ours. We’re looking forward to milder weather, the beautiful colors and the coming of the holidays. First comes Halloween which I’ve always loved and still look forward to.

We’ve been busy finding the coolest stuff to pack our booths with. Auctions have become an addiction and we love it! We also love our new space on the main floor and we’re making improvements to it every week. Check out some current booth pictures below:

Mid-Summer New Space

It’s been a hot, humid summer but a good one for Moonglow. We finally moved our booths to the first floor of The Antique Depot! We loved our basement booths, but when the space next to ours opened on the first floor, we happily took it, and now we have one big booth! We love being on the main floor and the openness of our space. We immediately sold stuff that had been lingering in the basement. And it’s been fun designing and displaying things in a different way.

And we haven’t stopped hitting auctions, estate sales and our own stock at home. We’re always trying to put out new, different and fun treasures for everybody.

Here’s a look at our new space:

Fun Stuff

One of the things we love about our business is the fun we have going to auctions and hunting for fun stuff. And one of the most difficult things is selling the fun stuff. But if we kept everything we thought was cool, we’d be on the next episode of Hoarders.

Here’s a small selection of fun stuff:

As always, thanks for looking.

Early Spring Cleaning

Hello and welcome to an early Spring here in Ellicott City. It’s been an unusually mild winter and I’ve been enjoying many warm, sunny days. Looking over my booths, I realized they needed some early Spring cleaning, so I spent a few hours purging and making room for many new treasures I’ve acquired through auctions. Can’t wait to get them all there.

Here are some current pictures of my booths, including this new, wonderful lighted sign πŸ™‚

Happy New Year

Hello and hope you had the best of holidays. It’s been nonstop for us since the last time I posted here. In addition to settling into our new home, we’ve been sorting through inventory, pricing and packing our booths as much as possible. And we’re still addicted to auctions and go almost every week.

Business has picked up since the flood and Christmas time was especially good. I hope it continues as Winter has shown its cold, snowy face and most people (myself included) like to hibernate as much as possible until Spring.

Here are some pictures of our booths:
